I do not have a copy of my novice license but I do have a copy of the Section Award for the Novice Roundup in Oklahoma for February 1965.

It says:”By These Presents the American Radio Relay League certifies that Jerry Keisler operator of Amateur Radio Station WN5KZA/5, is the winner of this Award in consideration of his accomplishment in working 102 stations in 43 Sections of our A. R. R. L. organization for a score of 4816 points.  This station in view of this outstanding radio work is hereby declared the winner for the Oklahoma Section.”

I carried on a schedule with a Novice station in Missouri on 40 meters everyday as soon as I got home from high school.  We had the same crystal.

I was in the process of building my electronics lab when the new I found out the new high school principal had a General License. So instead of ordering an oscilloscope kit I ordered a T-60 Knight Kit transmitter to go with the R-55 Knight Kit receiver I had put together a couple of years ago. I currently hold WA5KZA.
