I carried on a schedule with a Novice station in Missouri on 40 meters everyday as soon as I got home from high school. We had the same crystal.
I was in the process of building my electronics lab when the new I found out the new high school principal had a General License. So instead of ordering an oscilloscope kit I ordered a T-60 Knight Kit transmitter to go with the R-55 Knight Kit receiver I had put together a couple of years ago. I currently hold WA5KZA.
