While assigned to the American Embassy Helsinki, Finland I became friends with a hamat the embassy and one thing led to another and I received my novice license from the FCC dated 8/11/87 along with another friend from the embassy who was interested in ham radio.  We took the Novice question pool to the Finish FCC and they were planning on expanding their Novice privileges just as the FCC did.  I was given the Finish call KB2EFM/OH2 with the US Novice privileges.  Needless to say, my first contact was with an OH2 station.
